Hey Wildcats, what are you thankful for this Thanksgiving?

Mr. Barwell is thankful for dedicated passionate co-workers that make Westgate a great place to work and play. He is also thankful to the Kennewick High Cheerleaders and Football players (including a former Westgater) who came to assist today's Azim party, and for Mrs. DeWolf, Mrs. Hillman, and Mrs. Dunn and whoever else helped to organize the festivities, and for Mrs. Rodriguez for coming in and covering Music class. He is thankful for friends and family both in and out of Westgate, and for challenges that make him strive to be a better person. Finally, Mr. Barwell is thankful for Katya in 1st grade for persevering and overcoming her fear and letting the cheerleaders lift her up. I'm proud of you.

Mrs. Mearns is thankful for all the students, staff, and parents who make my job amazing!

Mrs. Schermerhorn is thankful for my team, other support staff that help my students and I, and for my students.  They make coming to work every day easy as pie! 

Mrs. Cook is thankful to work with amazing people who go above and beyond for our kiddos. I am also so thankful for my students, I'm so lucky to be your teacher. 

Mrs. Kinner is thankful for the house system and how it builds a sense of community and belonging. I am thankful for the wonderful community around me that brings me joy every day-friends, family, and coworkers.

Ms. Ard is thankful for a diverse group of students who teach me new things every day!

Mrs. Ratliff is incredibly thankful for my students who come to school each day ready to learn and challenge themselves! Your enthusiasm inspires me every day. I'm also grateful for my amazing colleagues who consistently put students' needs first and collaborate daily to provide the best support for our learners.

Mr. Russell is thankful for our House Leaders, especially our Verdad House Leader Team. You guys are great.
